Powering monitors with hi fi amp

I've just won a pair of Event 20/20's on ebay. They're passive and it'll be a couple of months before I can afford a power amp. Can I use my nad integrated hi fi amp to power them ?

Also how will I connect the hi fi amp to the speakers?

It won't hurt for the most part.

Positive to positive, negative to negative.
