Power Metal Attempt.

Just thought I'd get some feedback on a piece I put together for fun.
No vocals yet, probably never get around to doing them.

Be brutal! I have no emotional attachments to the song whatsoever.

And how can someone resist criticizing Power Metal, right?!

Great job. Where is the bass guitar? The guitars need to be back a little bit to let the bass and kick drum through.

Tight and kickin'. There's some mud down around 180 that comes out with a slight cut. the sizzle on the guitar notes gets a bit cloudy at 6600-7000, a bunp brings them back out. I like the snare and kick although the snare could be a bit fatter for me.

Tight playing on this. Reminded me alot of Rhapsody, especially the part at the end where the keys? I think kicked in. I guess you could insert any power metal band name in there haha. Once again, excellent guitar playing. Didn't really care for the tone, sounded direct to me. The leads could come forward in a few places.

I Agree with wireneck! Where are they Keyboards!
Add a little bit 340hz in the guitars so the D strings on 00:24 will appear...
Did you put some verb in the hats? Trying to learn here...

Yes it could fit, but if there were any vocals, the guitar would have to come back a bit. I still don't know it there is a bass line in this.

There is a bass track, albeit a bad one.
The guitars are real. A custom made guitar fitted with a Dimarzio Super Distortion, A Mesa/Boogie Mk4 through a Fender 4x12 cabinet. Plain old 57 on it.
Completely dry.
Yes, there's a little reverb on the hihats. Too much?
The keyboards come in around 3:19.

Hey this is really cool. I actually like power metal so no complaints here . I do agree that the guitar tone is a little off but not sure how to describe it....I think the bass is kinda lost and that is accenting the sort of harsh "DI" sound of the guitars. I think that with a slightly different mix the guitars would sound fine though.

sounds alot like the band hammerfall. with the exception of the keyboards.

Kikkis, it´s just that I liked the drums and was wondering if you did also put verb in the hats, got it? Are the drums real? If yes, can you tell me how you recorded and mixed them? I just like the way it sounds!

No, the drums were all programmed by myself, in the FruityLoops application.
