Is it ok to turn on RP5 or any monitors for a long time? Is there any harm to it if it gets heated up?

how long are we talking. It shouldn't be a problem for them to run a long period of time so long as they are kept cool enough. I havn't turned off my monitors in 10 years + at all. They are always on. I haven't had any problems at all. As long as the heat has a way to dissapate from the heat sink on the power amp you should be fine.

Wow...10 years?? i'm talking about maximum a day:D.
so i guess its more than fine hehe.

It really sucks to turn off the power switch located at the back of the monitors every time.

YES man that drives me insane. I have the same monitors as you. I usually turn them off only when i know i wont be back for at least an hour. Ive left them on for whole days a couple times and they get a bit warm but theyre fine they can handle it.

yes, just them being on will produce heat.
