Hey man... I think I have just what you're lookin' fer... forget all that "be true to yourself/the music" garbage... I understand what you want. You need to know if you've got any hits on your hands, or if you've got material that will please a crowd in general... you wanna know if one of these songs will be the next big deal on mainstream radio... or if you'll be the next big local act.
And I'm just the guy to tell ya...
(muuahahahahaaa!)
So let's get down to the nitty-gritty...
Out of Control: First off... there's no way to tell about this song, because it has no vocals. The vocals are THEE most important part of a good song... it you can't sing along, or if it isn't a melody that sticks in your head all day long until you want to scoop your brains out with a spoon because you can't stop HUMMING THE DAMN TUNE!!! then it's not gonna be a hit. So, that said, I have no way of telling about this one. But I can tell you that that VERY annoying lead guitar riff has GOT to go. Oh my lord, that thing grated on me before the first time I heard it had even ended.

And the chord progressions are nothing to write home aboot... Both the verse and the chorus are very typical chord progressions that have been done to DEATH in alt. rock, so unless you find a unique lead/accompaniment guitar riff to lay over them to drown them out, it will sound very boring.
Foolish Me: Um.. no. As someone before said,.. very dated. This sounds like something Skid Row's producer wouldn't let them put on one of their albums because no amount of production in the world would help it. (Well... ok.. maybe not THAT bad)

But it is rather mediocre.
Decal: This sounds less like alternative and more like retro. Almost "Strokes"ish. And while I can't
stand the Strokes, I must admit that their style is becoming fairly popular. This one would fly, if done a tad more aggressively, (with that 60's yell thing goin' on) as a kind of party-until-you-fall-down type of good-time-rock-n-roll thing.
Anything or Everything: Uh.. you know... absolutely nothing struck me aboot this song. It was pretty repetitive and unremarkable... except for that break right before the lead guitar.... that wasn't too bad... but after that it went back to being mundane... sorry.
So.. in summation... if these came on the radio, I would turn the channel with sound-barrier-breaking speed... but hey... (now I must insert the obligatory word of patronizing encouragement) if you enjoy making it, then that's all that matters... right?
