Here are some of my recordings if anyone is interested. I'd like to hear what listeners think :)

Sorry, I'm still too new to the site to be allowed to post URLs....

This is a 24-track remake of an old song from my first album, if anyone's interested.

I think it remains my second longest track (the longest, 'Project Dragonsong', taking up an entire reel). Yes, that fake guitar is horrible.

Equipment used: TASCAM MSR-24, TSR-8, Studer A807, Soundcraft MFXi

I think it sounds great!

Is this one just a little bit faster?

I'm still a big fan of your stuff and am looking forward to future recordings.

Thanks. In theory it should be the same speed as the original. The vocal performance is a little different, and some of the narration felt a little rushed to match the score, but it's made from the same basic MIDI file as the original version.

Thanks Mark7.
Just 8 tracks recorded onto the 388.
2 drum tracks,2 guitar tracks...well, another guitar track jumps in at the drunken sounding interlude.
1 bass,3 vocal tracks and I punched in a photo theramin during the crazy part.
Then I just burned it straight to cd on my Tascam 700 cd/rw burner with an FMR RNLA between the 388 and the cd burner.
Loaded the cd into the computer, converted to mp3 and downloaded.
It was a fun one.

Thanks VP.
Thats kinda why I wrote it.I was just messing around in my home studio.I was on a bit of a White Russian kick while I was working on that song.

Here's a demo that I recorded on my Tascam 424 mkIII. It's just one track with vocals and acoustic both into one mic (SP C1), but I think it came out fairly nice.

Hello, I'm new here and I share the joy of analog recording, so I'd like to share some songs that I recorded with you. I only have Youtube links here, but I think they will do:

LESLIE'S BACK - Phenomena - YouTube
Rebirth by Leslie's back - YouTube
Leslie's back - Atlantis - YouTube

The recording process was simple. We captured the live performance and mixed it directly on a stereo tape recorder. We didn't use any compressors or any sound processing at all. The only tools were the mics, Studer 169 mixing console and Studer C37 tape recorder.

I hope you like it and I would be greatfull to hear some comments,
Thanks
Igor

Rather cool. So the video shows the tape being digitized?

I'm curious what was done at the end of 'Rebirth', if no processing was performed? It sounded like a tape delay being put into feedback and gradually slowed down.

Thanks :)
You are right for both things. Video shows tape being digitized and that effect at the end of Rebirth is Roland RE 201 space echo used exactly as You described, but it was used during playing, so that's why I said that there was no processing - I ment after mixdown - I didn't explain it clearly:)

Thanks :)

Right, that makes more sense. Usually when I use compression I use it during tracking, that's what confused me.

Overall I think they sound very nice. I really liked the guitar tone in Rebirth.

The cymbals sometimes sounded a bit brittle to me, but then again, these headphones are treble-heavy.

Other than a few moments of rushing (time-wise) here and there, it was a pleasant listen. Thanks for posting. :)

Thanks, You are right about time problems, we noticed them too, but since it was live performance without editing, we felt that we managed to capture the performance and the energy of the band so little mistakes are ok I guess.

As for guitar tone - the guy that plays the guitar made his Les Paul, made pickups for it, made his Marshall 18w clone and it's output transformer so he really has a nice sound :)

I'm making a Marshall 18 watt clone too right now. :)

Great amp :) If You like that British tone You should try Selmer Treble and Bass. I have this amp and it's perfect for clean sounds and works great on bass guitar too :)
