I'm really anxious to hear what you guys are workin' with out there. Post samples of your tracked drums! (Preferably dry tracks).

Ah... a shameless attempt to get free drum tracks... I like it! I've taken to mostly recording acoustic tracks because I'm so tired of dealing with fake drums.

C'mon people, let's hear em!

Chris (rubbing hands greedily)

Heh, my motives are pure, I just wanna hear what sound people can get with their sets.

I don't do real drums....you know? Fake is the new kind of real....

Wanna see my set?

It's right here

I'm so modern!

LOL :D

Once I start getting the whole kid soundiing ok, I will be glad to do some drum tracks for some people.

I like the snare but the Bass drum, I don't know. Aren't 421's usually used on snares and Toms? Have you tried a low end mic specially designed for Bass drums?

I just did this with my brand new maple Pearl Session kit I just got last week.... Factory heads still on, and didn't spend much time tuning..... Nothing great, just wanted to see how the would record..

It's called "Pearl Drum Test", or something like that.

(try not to laugh too much at the playing, I was just wankin')

Track Rat, I love it. Great drum tones dude.

Voxvendor, that's an excellent drum track if I've ever heard one, I've been listening to your stuff for a while now. (In My Head just rocks, period.)

Thanks for replyin' guys.

I agree. Good drum tones abound!

And I just listened to "In My Head"... Awesome stuff!

Thanks! I appriciate that. I tracked that with a bunch of cheese dick mics on the drums. The nicest mics that I owned at the time were a pair of Tascam PE-80 SDC's I used for overheads. The point is, it IS possible to make a decent purse (maybe not a silk one :D ) out of a sow's ear if you use your most powerful tolls, your ears.

Zeke my young friend, You're ahead of the curve.:D

:D

I'd like to hear some of yours track rat. I don't think i have even heard anything from u.

These were recorded with 5 mics - snare, kick, two toms and an OH:
