hey guys, Just starting out and would like know more about booths and there usefulness or not. After reading some of the other post most are not that keen on them. I two have questions. I would like to build one that is 4x6 with three sides and then add the fourth side if I need to record a raging half stack on 10. The vocal part of the question is if the vocalist sings into the the three side booth with the mike place in the middle or more toward the front or back. Will this create more space for the sound to go. I'm sure this will affect the sound. But if I have the vocalist face out of the booth and have the mic just inside the booth. With the booth to block the reflections coming back into the mic would this have a more open feeling, yet still control the sound that comes back into the mic, because the area in front of the mic is dead and not behind it and to the sides.
