Polymoog - outputs - HELP!

I heart guitars!
I know I'm asking for some serious on-stage trouble here, but I'm planning to take my Polymoog out live - mainly for the superb electric piano sound and great keyboard, but also for the sheer "what-the-hell-is-that" factor. It's the Polymoog Keyboard (the mainly preset model with half the front panel blanked off), and it's a later model, so I understand the fabled 200% failure rate shouldn't be too much of a problem.

My question is - what do the outputs do, and which should I take a DI feed from? it has "Bass" "Main" and "Direct" outs - the "direct" seems to bypass the main volume control, but as I'm routing the machine through an effects pedal which is acting as a gate & de-noiser, I could control the volume from that. Which would be the best way to do it?

Any help in taming this arcane beast would be greatly appreciated!

I guess the Direct (?)

I also would sample this intrument asap, at least the very desireable VOX Humana .... :)

It is not going to live many more years unfotunately, like most 30 years old synths...
