How about the "Texas Thorazine Coalition" it's a nice combo of the two and sounds a little like a drug free campaign. Not that I'm in support of that

I vote you pick two names and start out with the second choice first. I have seen so many times that a virgin band hits the club scene...... gets some mild exposure, mixed reviews and tiny tiny following. Having done all that.. learned so much about public exposure, then renames the band and has a more popular following.

i think that the "thorazine shuffle kings" is a much better and more original name (even though i don't get the joke)

i also like blackburn's idea - "texas thorazine coalition"
or maybe the "texas thorazine kings"

those names stick out more than "the texas blues coalition" which just seems more normal.

I like 'Texas Blues Coalition' becuase it's TBC which is not too far away from THC which can be a real influence if you want it to be.It does sound like a militant group but 'hey the times they are a changing baby'.
Band names are very important !!!!!!! I would turn up to a 'Texas Blues Coalition ' gig for sure.
