Pointless surfing vid

I got a waterproof camera with a surfboard attachment and tried it out a couple of days ago.

Music is a stillborn collab with Greendank from about 4 years ago - I found the mp3 on my laptop. Always thought he did a great job on the guitars but we never got around to finishing it off...

Looks like you are intentionally jumping off the back of the board.

Maybe a few strips of anti-skid tape across the back of that board... :laughings:
 
Yeah, the song goes with the vid pretty good. be nice to see you doing some extreme skiing, too. It's cool you can capture footage on the board like that.

cant speak about the mix on my tiny netbook...but the guitars sounded great

you need to move out here to cali, theres waves here :)

Took me years to perfect that dismount. Elegance is what I'm looking for.

And I think I achieved that. :D

The one disappointing aspect of that vid for me is that stupid looking bald spot on the back of my head and how big it looks when my hair's wet. For the record I do actually have hair back there

Cheers Chili. It's weird how the brain tries to make connections and associations between what its seeing and hearing even though there's no connection to start with

Thanks kc. I always thought Greendank's guitars were worthy.

I did surf in cali once... laguna maybe, or huntingdon, can't remember. I didn't have a wetsuit and I remember being surprised at how cold the water was
 
Dude that was awesome as shit. I really liked it. I haven't surfed in forever. I was just telling the wife this summer I need to get another surfboard.

Anyway, cool concept, but you need some surf music. I'm working on a new surf guitar instrumental original that you could use if you want to make another. :D

bloody freezing...i was shocked when i moved, i was also shocked that snowboarding doesnt translate to surfing....and that I may be fat lol

Heh cheers Greg, thanks for the offer. But I think I've pretty well exhausted this particular concept. Unless I could convince some nubile young babe to take a ride on my board. Hmmm..... :D

I think the gregs onto something. I mean if you could do this and string together a bunc hfo different takes...

bit bigger waves,
you staying on for the full ride.
maybe get some nice barrells in behind you

and throw in some of gregs surf shit...... i am assuming thats a longboard. So maybe having that old school feel of a nice surf tune .....


man. that would be great. Your idea is far from exhausted bro. Id like to see a bit more.

This is a great foundation for something.

And the nubile young babe is a given. you need one in there too.

And maybe a quick clip of some little kid chowing down on bits of board wax left on the beach would top it off nicely...

Think about it.

I realize you're probably joking but that could make for a really fun bunch of footage. Just different surfers of all ages and genders.
