This clip was done by someone on the line 6 forum and it is all POD XT and nothing else... It sounds super close to Eddie's brown tone.. I owned a 5150 for a little bit and still couldn't get it sound this good recorded...
Here is a link to the thread:

And here is a link to his page where you can download the presets:

I tried it out and it is pretty damn good.. makes me feel good about the $$$ I've dropped on my XT Live...![]()

I think whoever suggested to you to do this was pulling your leg. Turning the cabinet simulator off and sending it through a monitor with tweeters just seems like a bad idea. And exactly the opposite of the design.SilverSurfer said:All I did was remove the cab effects, plug the Pod into my monitor speakers, mic the speakers with my 319 right into my DMP3 into my AW16G and record the samples.

I just can't justify that $300 or whatever it costs.
That sample was probably the best I've heard, but I'm not into VH so that reverby distortion dosen't sway me very much. Is that not an easy effect to acheive otherwise?
You can turn the reverb off. The distortion and tone is what was impressive. I have used the pod on several occasions and liked it, but I have never heard it sound that good.Sloan said:I keep wanting to check out a POD, but everything I hear discourages me.

I'm not really looking for a particular sound as opposed to looking for a lot of sounds that I can change to suit my tastes...especially for studio use, being able to change little things can go a long way..
It would be really nice to hear some samples with drums and bass - like a real recording or something.
Also, does anyone here have the PODxt Live?
Or even the pedal for the POD?
I was wondering if you could set the pedal to control specific effects for example: the speed or effects mix of tremolo.

I've seen the Line6 foot switch but it's $270. Screw that!
I would be really interested if I could hook up some switches for on-the-fly switching and just an expression pedal. That would be nice.
I'll have to check one out one day.
