hello everone, and hope u all dont mind helping me :)

I have questions about few things
well firstly i do record hip-hop and rap music.
So i only care about high quality of vocal recording.

Okay we all agree i need voice interface...right?
But the main question is , do i need mixer , or it dosn't really do anything for the vocal ?
is the mixer only used for who dose do instrumental and who produce music?

do i need to buy M-Audio NRV10 interface and mixer at one time .
or only M-Audio fast track .

sorry for th bad english

plz u only guyz my chance to get the answer from .

No, you don't need a mixer. Just an interface with balanced microphone inputs and phantom power.

You also don't need to type in giant freaking letters... WE know how to read...

A mixer does just as the name implies, It MIXES multiple signal into one stereo signal. So basically you got yo rap vocal and you've got all these instrumentals(phat beets) going on in the background and you want all of that to be just one signal rather than multiple signals going at once, you use a mixer to mix them together giving you a final single stereo track.

SO, since you said all you care about is yo rap vocal, all you need is an interface, a pre, a XLR cable, and a mic (unless your doing hard core gangsta A-Capella, in which case you would need a multi input interface, mic pres and multiple mics)

Catch my drift? You're only going to be recording one mono source (your voice) so all you need is one signal chain and then you can mix and match that vocal track with different instrumentals ITB(in the box(the computer)) as you see fit.
