Alright, I'm just curious how you guys go about this. I usually have a plugin on every channel in Cubase. Mostly reverb and compression. That takes up A LOT of cpu. Does anybody go about this differently? Can you somehow have a reverb bus and route the channels you want to have reverb to that reverb bus? Just maybe adjust the amount of reverb on each channel? That would totally make my cpu happy, and of course, me. :D

You could do this, but it would mean all the channels routed to it would have the same type and amount of reverb/compression on them, which isn't really ideal if you want them to be individual.
Give it a try though. You might be suprised at your results. I'm constantly suprised with everything I do........

How can one man make music sound SO bad?

Put a reverb in the send effects and use the sends on each channel to assign the amount of reverb. Neil mentions a good point though, every track will get the same kind of reverb. I usually set up 2, 1 for the drums, and 1 for all the vox (main plus harmonies). The reverbs are one of the most taxing plus-ins on the cpu, so use them wisely.
