plug ins

hahah i have spen the last day downloading all the free plugins and demos i can find, this stuff is way too much fun....

Unfortunately, most of the free ones are useless or suck (or useless and suck)

Or maybe it's just me that sucks...

I want my mommy.

plug ins

i dont mind paying if its good, anything you night recomend?

The Wave plug ins come highly recommended, and highly priced. Not sure if you can buy individual plugs or not, but the bundles would force you into prostitution.

The FaSoft EQ plug is great for little money. 20 bands para-graphical. I think it's still under $20.

I use PeakCompressor. Again, around $20 and well worth the bucks. It's graphical interface is very helpful in understanding just what compression does. They also have a 3-band compressor called TripleComp. I bought (and recommend) both.

And there are some good freebies too.

Fish Fillets - DeEsser, Compressor, Expander/Gate
SIR Reverb - GREAT!!! impulse verb plug
Classic Plugs - Compressor, Verb, Limiter... a few others.

Hope this helps.

How do you use the SIR reverb plug in? I'm going to their website now to read more about it, but I don't understand how it would work inside n-Track.

plug

install plug in , i think its a vst, right click on a channel go to effects, choose that effect open it and play around with the sound

Nooooooo!!!!

You do not need to load the VST plug-ins for N-Track.

Un-check that box.

Those are primarily for use in Cubase, Cubasis, and the like.
Once you uncheck that (Like I did) You plug-ins should register immediately and show up when you pull up your effects in N-Track.

thats it

i see, only vst i have is endorphin ,and it just seemed to work. always learn good stuff here...

Direct X plugs need to be registered (installed) in Windows. This is so N knows how to find the plugin. If you're working with a Direct X plug, there should be an install program. You can install it in any folder you like.

VST plugs don't need to be registered. Simply copy the .dll file into the N VST folder (program files/n-track studio/VST Plugins by default). Next time you launch N, it'll find new VST plugs automatically.

To load either type into a song, select a track and click the DSP button (or right-click just below the track EQ). The Effects box will pop up. You can select any plug that N finds from there.

I'm running SIR now. The reverbs are nice. The latency hasn't been that big of a deal so far.
