duh.

I guess I should have googled/ wiki'd .rar before just assuming it was for mac.

I managed to find some .wav in there anyway, and already turned one unusable session into almost useable... Can't wait to get more downloaded. Thanks pipelineaudio.

nevermind - you asked for a plugin.......

I still use Sonitus fx quite a bit. I've got several others but I come back to this one time and time again...I've got some presets I've built that I just really like.

It's a decent mid-level verb.

Well it looks like there's not a lot of love for the UAD-1 but 'm going to recomend the Plate 140 anyways, not only because it's the best sounding reverb I've gotten my hands on but you also get access to all those fantastic compressors and EQ's.
FWIW I have a single processor and SONAR6PE.I added UAD cards so I didn't need to upgrade my computer.

Thanks blue9girl9, and everyone who put up some of those free reverbs.

I love the UAD-1. I have three of them, and all of the plugs except for the couple of latest ones. The UAD-1 is a professional tool I use on everything that goes through my studio.

Good audio ain't about being out on the bleeding edge. OK, so it doesn't always like the latest hot mobo. Personally, I don't care, because making money isn't usually about spending money on upgrades that don't increase revenue. I think my mobo is 2002 vintage, but I don't exactly recall. It works without complaint, so why would I replace it? It's about getting a few of the right tools, learning how to use them, and not wasting time and effort on acquiring superfluous gear. And that applies to some of my customers too.

I have two UAD-1 cards and get a lot of use out of the Plate 140, Dreamverb and the RS-1 Reflection Engine. That RS-1 is an unsung hero!

First, the convolution reverb in Sonar 6 should be fine. My second native favorite sofware reverb I've ever used is the ArtsAcoustic Reverb. No cheap artifacts on this thing at all. The UAD's are great but there are risks with compatibility. I'm installing a new motherboard right now to deal with this as we speak.

The statement that UAD is mainly for ProTools is a bit off though, since the only way to use it with PT is through a RTAS to VST wrapper that doesn't work very well.

Luckily I am a Steinberg user so my UAD has been problem-free. I will say that the Plate 140 is amazing. The other thing to consider (like MSH said) is that the other UAD stuff is good too (the 1176LN is really nice). A few times a year they have sales, and you can usually get $25-$50 off on a new plug.

If I were on a tighter budget, I could get by with only Voxengo plugs. Some of his stuff is incredible at any price, let alone cheap.
