Hey all,

I am new to the recording by computer thing, and had posted before in the newbie section, which was a great help. I have been recording with N-Traks for the last few weeks with some good results, until I started adding Plug-in's on to my hard drive. I think I must have downloaded at least 15 different programs from various free web sites. One song that I went a bit crazy on, adding about 9 or 10 effects to various tracks, will not even open anymore. When I try to open it, the search for Plug-in screen comes up and then the program shuts down due to an error. Is there any way to get back into this file? Should I remove all the Plug-ins from my system. If this is a problem that you have had, and know of a solution, please let me know.

Thanks

Is this problem only with that one song?
Or is it with your other songs as well?

If its only that one song, you could import the .wav
files into a new .sng and add the effects back in
one at a time.

Good luck...

Try the plugs one at a time untill u find the culprit.Unfortunately, some of these free plugs sieze up.Eliminate the bad seed and continue.

Actually..

The plug-Ins are probably fine.
But they will respond only as well as your computer is capable of handling them.
In other words, plug-ins require a certain amount of memory, and your computer needs to have enuoght memory to accomodate it.

The advice of adding one plug-in at a time will show you in a sense how much "power' your computer is capable of.

I recommend at least 128 MB., with at least 733 MHZ.
Hard drive of maybe 10 gig or higher.
