Off course he was blown away but he really did feel bad that it wasn't working. As for my new (old) purchase I'm pretty psyched. I have a whole army of analog gear but never owned a reel to reel. I have been doing all of my recording inside my DAW for quite some time. I'm currently putting together a reggae/Dub production library and I thought I might as well record some vintage space echo feedback and spring reverb samples onto tape to include in the set. My budget for the reel for $150 and that's exactly what I got it for. I'm not looking forward to the cleaning and calibrating part of owning a reel but it may actually be some welcomed relief after staring at my LCD all day. Do you think I picked a good deck to use for my sampling needs? Any words of advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.
