I'm thinking of spending around $1000. I'm looking at the Korg D-16, the Fostex VF-16, the Akai DSP (or is it DPS), and was wondering what you all thought about them (or others in the same price range). Anyone???

Oh, yea- if this has been done before (and I guess it probably has!), could someone link me to it? Thanks!
 
Probably has been talked about - do a search using one of six icons to upper right of page.
