hey wuz up,okay i have uh windows xp 2002 pc,with magix audio studio as my sequencer, and i bought a samson condenser C01 mic that needs 48v phantom power to use,but the problem is i want to be able to record my voice with zero latency, what im recording with right now is a dynamic mic connected to my mic jack in my pc sound card and it's working fine, but want to upgrade to condenser mic,but alot of people have told me that (usb audio interfaces, preamps,an mixers) cause a whole lot of latency,an alot of problems,so my question is what should i get? and is there is there a way that i can connect a mixer, preamp,or audio interface directly to my mic jack (Sound Card)? please someone help me be very Greatfull thank u.:)

Well it could work...but upgrading to a new computer might get rid of the latency issues.

well a new computer might not be entirely necessary....

what are your specs??
how much ram do you have?
whats your processor speed?

The interfaces are designed for recording and minimal latency. Your internal card is not.

The interfaces connect via USB or firewire. You don't need to go near your PC's mike input.

There are many USB interfaces that provide phantom power for a condensor mike. That's all you need to start off with.
