Maybe you could start by telling us what song you would like us to comment on. Tell us how it was recorded. What equipment was used, mics, the room, mixer, DAW, monitors???????
All these things help give us a better idea on what constructive critisism we can give.

If on the other hand you just want a bunch of strangers to tell you how great your songs are, I'll go first..........

There wasn't enough information in your post to make me go listen

Alec.

fair enough lemon... i have 8 songs posted and would probably ask that you listen to amsterdam blues or tough love first but on the same hand these are all great songs so take your pick. they were recorded at my home on a 16bit DAW using only 1 at3003 pencil condensor and a ev pl20...they are of the acoustic roots genre. the room is a spair bedroom carpet on the floor and dry wall ceiling and walls. the monitors that i am using are alesis mkII..that's about it. if there's anything else that would help let me know...

that's better. I'm off for a listen. Back later with my thoughts.

Hahahahaa...so our humble site has now become the the dumping ground for rejects from WHERE????

Hey man...I checked out "Girl In Bar." I like it a ton, so I'm not gonna' beat the shit out of you, lol. The recording sounds damned decent, but I kinda' hate the way you've mixed this one. That reverb on your vocal makes the track sound like something by Glen Campbell circa' 1965. Or maybe some of the Simon/Garfunkel recordings.

So WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much verb on the vocal. I think I could stand it if the guitars weren't so IN YOUR FACE.

It's a really tastey piece, though.

BTW - It took an act of congress for me to actually get the file from your site...after I submitted the names of all my children (including those not yet born), I finally got SOME kind of file on my computer....but I still have no idea what app is playing it, lol. You're probably gonna' get a lot more feedback if you sign up for a free account at nowhereradio.com . I mention this only because you don't suck, lol.

Have a great day.

"Gypsy" was kinda' cool too....I'd turn that tambourine down a lot...like until you can't hear it anymore...then turn it down another 10db and you're there.

:D

no offense...just kinda' JARRING.

AND FOR THE TRIFECTA

I figured 3 posts would make you get all excited, lol. Too bad they're from the same guy.

Anyway, I checked out "Your Walls" too...much weaker guitar sound, in my opinion. More than anything, I think the guit needed new strings when you recorded it, lol. But my comment on the amount of verb on your vocal pretty much applies to this one, too.

You've got a good voice.

chris this is exactly the kind of constructive feed back i need. i would like to hear a lot more from others as well. as far as the beat down quote i just meant that I post this yesterday here in another forum and they ragged for being in the wrong place then suggested that i come into the mp3 clinic. and as far as the site being hard to get to i will post this one as well..you do not have to sign up at this one and it has 3 different formats for downloading. only thing is i can only put up 3 tunes there...but thanks again for the input and honesty and i look forward to hearing from everyone else as well.... here's the other link

www.broadjam.com (when you get there do a search on josh wayne)

thanks again

Post your songs on Nowhereradio.com, so everyone doesn't have to go through all this crap to check out your songs. Both sites you posted are a major pain in the ass. That's why no one's responding.

skully, i checked out nowhere and it says they are no longer taking new postings on their site....

tough love has a pretty decent.
the vocalist has a nice enough voice.

I can see the people who listen to this kind of music enjoying it a lot.

cyan thank you for the positive feed back i will surely pass this on to josh and i do appolgize for the hassle when listening at the sites i have them posted at. i wish that i could find a place to post where people could just go and list and not half to input their life history...thanks again for taking time to listen...
