That dog-barking sound panning back and forth is super annoying. Other than that stupid sound, the song is pretty good. No mix problems that jump out to me.

Dog? The wah wah synth thing? Yeah. It is a bit, crunchy on the nerves. Would lessening the pan, or making it mono help? If seems you are the only one who comments on my songs anymore. lol.

Thats the one.
Its too loud and too present. Maybe have it in the first few measures and fade it out.Nice song, nice vocals. Seems a bit thick in the backing stuff. Too wet on that weird sound too, try taking the reverb off of it.

You could take just a smidge out of the bass at about 400hz. And your kick track is clipping pretty bad - I think. It may be some sort of distortiony synth sound triggered with the kick?
And, yeah, I'm with Gerg and David - the windshield wiper sound panning across the soundscape is distracting.

I like it. Particularly the chorus. I kind of like all the distracting swirling sounds. It is a pleasant distraction. Poppy and fun...a bit odd, but in a nice way.

I think it's great! Very nice song. Great arrangement, great pace, and great chorus. I kind of agree with everyone about that squeaky sound though...not a big fan of it. I like that it goes away during the chorus and comes back in during the verse. I see what you are trying to accomplish with it...ah you know what...it's kind of growing on me on the second listen here...and maybe the background guitar could use a little more bite...maybe just a little. Sounds great though. It sounds like it could be an Aimee Mann song...that's a compliment cuz I think she writes incredible songs.

I love the crispness of the vocals. I wish I could replicate that in my recordings. We're cheap and using Sure SM57 knock off's. I think that is our problem. How do you record your vocals?

I kinda like the wah-thing but as has been suggested, bring in in, then take it out till you need it again. Play around with it and you can turn it into a good hooky kinda thing. Some places the bass doesnt support the harmony as it should, but that's just my style, and it doesnt ruin the song. Listen close, about 1/3 of the way thru and maybe you'll hear what I mean.

Well, it isn't anything as good as a sure. Even a knockoff. I am using an audio-technica AT2020 plugged into a m-audio fasttrack usb, going into reaper. In reaper, The first thing in the chane is the rea-comp. A stock compressor in reaper. I turn the threshold down to about -10db, and the ratio to about 21.8. Then, I render the track as a stem, and normalise it. Next, I am using the stock 4band EQ, more or less messing around with the high and low untill I like it, movin the low down a bit to about -8.0, and the high up to about 9.0. Maybe a bit of a boost on the mid too for this one to about 2.0, but I am not sure-sure on that. The last stage in the chain is the pluggin, omniverb. I put it on (default hall (I think)) Push the level down a bit to about -9db, and turn the "T60" down to about 842ms. I hope it helps.

Oh yeah, and before the omniverb, I used a noisegate. I just set the threshold up untill there was no noise in between word groups.
