Hey Joe-H.....the truths were $279 for the 2031....you got the 2031A which are new! They are $309....Good luck with them! Behringer says they are better than the first....you tell us when you get them....there aren't any reviews out on them yet? :)
Actually, I got the original Truths for $300 at another online store. So far, I'm very happy with them. Way better than what I used to listen with. I can't really give a review on them because I don't have any experience at all with studio monitors.

Anyway, the sound of the Truths didn't disappoint me at all. Made me feel a little better on missing out a GREAT deal on the KRK V8 monitors (it was $360 for a PAIR!!!).

It is in truth a midrange & treble boost if you set the acoustic space to -0db. A 4db boost in fact as I looked the circiut over & observed the output. -4db setting is in fact the true flat setting for these speakers.

How did you measure them? What output are you talking about?

Yes, Germanium, your comments about the BX5's Acoustic Space switch are interesting to me. I didn't measure anything, but after many hours of listening tests, I came to the same conclusion: the -4db setting was the flatest across the eq spectrum, even if the monitors are placed near a wall.

m audio quality stuff !

I got the older version of the five inch monitor with tweater,
I had them for two years now ,do not regret buying them, there not harsh on the ear to. The sound is pretty flat to me and i would put them up against higer priced model any day, The bass response is not going to be perfect but if you get used to your monitor you will be able to tell when to cut or ad bass .
I'm a blues and jazz fan I like it sweet not rough.
