please give some feedback on this mix...

i know the vocals suck, so you don't gotta tell me that...but i am having a singer come to do them in a couple of weeks and would like the rest of the mix to be as good as possible...thanks guys!

Hey I went to download your mp3 but when the Mp3.com page came up asking me to fill out info I declined.

I've had to search for storage space lately and I signed up with a couple of places only later to change my mind. Now I'm getting a lot of "SPAM" and I'm sure it's because of joining these "free" sites.

Make room on your web site and I'll be there. Perhaps just use a section of your songs. Just an idea.

Not for me to say BUT.......

Drew you have a clean sound there. As far as the vocals go your right they aren't there.. you go flat and lack cahoney's (confidence equating into Balls) in certain spots but I heard enough to know you just need to work on your vocals (Kinda Curt Cobaineish). I'm assuming your the guitarist... you didn't get good overnight and you are good...same goes with singing your voice is an instrument and you can learn to play it just takes practice. I recomend you work on "your" vocals and try and make your voice work. Singing is like standing naked in front of a crowd the first few times it feels uncomfortable but after a while it's second nature ..except for Barbara Streisand who never got comfortable doing either. Good luck either way
 
I like the mix, and the song.
and again, your right about the vocals. But theyre not THAT bad. I think there is potential there. - youve got a better voice than I do (not saying much).

hey, thanks so much guys for taking the time to listen and post!

i am having the vocals redone by my old singer..he will do it justice....i will continue to work on my vocals...but again, my main concern was if the music sounded like a good mix to you all....

thanks again for the input!
 
Hey drew, I checked out the tune. It's actually very good. Yeah, the vocals went flat a few times, but it sounds like the stuff in the middle of your range you actually sounded quite good on. I think confidence will come, when your tentative people seem to go flat, happens to me without even noticing, just make sure you can here yourself real well against the backdrop of the music.I liked your song a lot.

Mix and playing both super good...I echo TAE's comments about the vox..because you're "on" in places that, if you didn't have some vocal talent, you wouldn't have been able to do...cojones/confidence/practice and you won't have to use another singer.....nice stuff....gibs
