Since you're really looking for interface advice, I would ask the question in the computer recording section. Most of the computer nerds hang out in there.
lol ty, I will try, but where is the computer recording section? All I see is...
Microphones
The Rack
Guitars and Basses
Keyboards and Sound Modules
Drums and Percussion
Other Equipment and Reviews
Maybe in the rack?
JPXTom, Thank you so much. It may seem trivial, but the way you explained it was exactly what I was looking for. I tried searching for an m-audio delta 0404, but could only find the m-audio 0404 and m-audio delta 66. The 0404 looks nice, but the only benefit I found was phantom power, which the DMP3 has, so I wouldn't need it, right? The delta 66 I would not be able to use because I am not skilled with installing cards into the PC and would be more comfortable working with an external interface for my first time.
snow lizard: Yes, I have thought that using a pre amp with an interface that has preamps would be redundant, but I do not know of any other way to transfer the sound into the PC. The plan was just to use the DMP3's preamp, and just basically use the interface as the method of transfer. I was just hoping that the DMP3 and the preamps of the E-mu0202 will not be too much when combined and make a bad sound.
Is there a better way? Can I use the DMP3 pre amp and get the sound into the PC using a cheaper thing minus PCI? Or is this setup ok? I don't mind being redundant as long as the pre amps will not clash with eachother.
