Don't be a Pro Tool.
So my band is trying to work some keys into the mix at shows...just some piano and MAYBE some strings. What's our best option? I have reason and some plug ins with pro tools but I don't want to drag my digi 002 rack to shows and practice just to get some piano sounds...
All we have right now is a cheap keyboard with midi in/out although my guitarist may be willing to invest some if the sound is right.
Any feedback is appreciated!
Thanks!

If your keyboard is at least 61 keys..just get a sound module..they make very affordable modules that are perfect for what your looking for...look on ebay...

Any suggestions on a good sound module?

the korg x5 and n5 come to mind immediately.

Cheaper the better....we really don't need much, just piano and strings. Hell I'd settle just for great piano....
Something under $200 would be great, but if it's just not worth it then something good for under $500.
