Beatz for the Streetz
gec thanks for the words of wisdom...
I can definetly do the typical commerical trak like a Puffy beat... But the traks that Mr. Sol do are much more complicated than that they require more of a traditional musical training (chords etc.) and I give nuff props for that.....
As for making money my friend there is money to make on the underground scene.... I have been making some for a few years now... Of course it doesn't compare to the commerical money but I didn't orginally get into this for the money..... But as time goes on you will find individuals who are willing to pay for your services... I mean look at DJ Premier he makes 30K per trak and it's all underground chopped up samples...
Gec I also listen to your material, you got skills and I see you are trying to attract the commerical ears, the 2 songs sounded good...
Just remember you will always need an underground track for the respect factor and for you it's just a matter of a trak change as your rhymes and flows are on point dunny....
Trak Rat -- I glad you can ring in anyway I will try and do some mainstream tracks and I will want to get you and Bear's opinions on them.. My only fear with main stream tracks for me is someone will easily jack my idea (because they are loops).... Once again that's why a producer like Mr. Sol I give much props.... Your opinion on other topics like mic and mic pres has helped me emensley in the selection of my studio equipment... Thanks a million
