Well since my band can't seem to get anything going, that leaves me to sit in my room and try and write songs.
I wrote and recorded this song last night in about 2 hours and after about 6 or 7 bud lights lol. Tell me what you think. I need some help on lyrics and the outro, mixing comments are always welcome as well.

Thanks guys!

Good song here IMO. Worth retracking to get the intonation better in the solo guitar bends and vocal high notes. The sonority of the 12 string accomp and the solo guitar line is so good that I'd think the message of the song would fit best with just that and not the synth stuff added, but that's just my own taste. The bass sounds good too when it comes in.

You start buliding it up at around 2:19 and I kept expecting more but it held the same buildup until the end. I think the ending is fine myself. But it's really good for 2 hours worth of work

Thanks for the replies guys!
Actually its not a 12 string. I am playing in a cover band while my other band figures out what we are doing, and one of the songs we play is "Name" by the Goo Goo Dolls, which is in DADAEE tuning (I believe)......so I was messing around with that tuning last night and this is what I came up with.

Yeah I don't really have any good string sounds so I think I will ditch the synth part.

No bass in the song at all........might be the tuning combined with the way I EQ'd the guitar.

Vocals where recorded with a SP-C1 right into my motu 828
Acoustic Guitar was L.R. Baggs dual source system as well as the SP-C1
(one panned left the other right)
Electric Guitar was done with a Les paul Studio and a POD-XT

Thanks again!
