And even if your amp is loud enough for your venue (something smaller than a stadium, I suppose), your sound tech will likely still insist on micing it and that you keep it down low enough so that it doesn't overpower the mains. Otherwise, there are two sound techs -- you and him (her?), and you're going to be too busy playing guitar to handle the jobLt.
