Does anyone have a source (or solution) for plastic bags for 1/2" tapes? I bought a couple of pancakes and mounted them on empty ampex reels (took off the '86 tape) but I don't have nicely fitting plastic bags to put these in, before placing into the box. Any suggestions are welcome!:)

Any clean medium sized plastic bag from a local store should do the job :)

If you don't mind buying in bulk you can check out uline.com. they stock thousands of sizes and styles of poly bags. you can probably pick up a lifetime supply (1000) for about 40 bucks.

You can always just wrap the box vs rapping the reel itself.:p

Hehe:D That's actually what I've considered too but I don't want any box, cardboard shedding (from the inside) to come in contact with the tape.

Heck, I think I'll just go to my local grocery store and see if they have those big sandwich plastic bags or maybe small garbage bags.
