hi all , perhaps a large question , but if someone could even just scrape over this ..Im interested about finding out if theres any particular place things sit well in a mix .. I know about vocals being upfront (not always) , kick and snare down the center (snare perhaps slightly left) , paning toms accordingly ..... i hope i wasnt way of with them cos they work ok for me , but if theres a better combo , please share it.. But what im more interested in is being able to place my instruments behind the stereo field ... actually , better yet , i mean behind us (the listener).. I put up a post about this a while ago , and i basically gathered it was a stereo processor that could achieve this .. I was wondering if there was any other cool ideas any one had to achieve this ... When i say behind im only talking imagery ... i dont know if anyones heard this any where , where a sound appears to be behind you or slightly back-right or something ... really cool yet really weird i thought... can an pan whilst using an effect create this effect ?? just trying to find a way around a proccessor... anyway , cheers all...
