I bought a ART Dual Levelar from M**s Music a couple of weeks ago..I didnt plug it in till tonight because I have been rewiring patchbays and I have been in between recording and writeing..Got one that was in a sealed box..Well I plugged it in tonight and low and behold the things got a bad output on one of the channels..Dam when will I learn to always check the thing out before I get it all wired in..The singer had to sit there with that stupid look while I ranted and raved..LOL..Motto.. Always check out a peice of gear before you take it home..Sealed box or not!!

my Digi 001 Breakout box has a bad output on the back.... Luckly theres lots of others, and so far I've only ever had to use 2...

Loosen the nut and make sure it's not something simple like a broken solder connection.....

Thats a 30 second job, and if it is, then just touch it up, if you have a solering Iron.... It'll save ya a trip to the store.. or worse, mailing it to the store..

Yo Henri of "De" Cadillac:

Once I bought a "new" Nady [ I think that was the brand name, made in Britain?] am/fm tuner. It was broken OUT OF THE BOX.

Then, just a short time back, I bought a new integrated amp by Nady and it, too, was not working right out of the box.

So, I agree with you. Of course I'll never buy a Nady product again.

Some of us are just born lucky.

I can't say much for ART these days, but when I sold the stuff about 8 years ago, we used to call it booma-gear. It would always come back broken. I would sell a piece only to find that it was broken or DOA. That was then though.
