Man you were born to sing this music.

The harmonies missed a little bit but I still loved the tune. Another one for my dtb CD. :) Thanks

Dennis

Nice "earthy" song. Easy to listen to. I was in the mood for a "story song", so this worked for me.

The vox are a bit forward in relation to the guitar. The overall level to the song was a bit quiet. I might bring the vox down and the overall levels up just a nudge.

Not exactly sure what you're doing with the doubled vocals, but the hardpanning sounds a little weird in headphones. Syncing issuse are easy to spot that way. I might opt to send the vox down the middle.

Good job. Trip...

hey rustyfingers, just getting started on trying out some harmonies. Got a lot of work to do. Thanks.

yo badgas, pass the whisky, thanks friend.

3M, hey man. Yeah got to work on my levels some. New mic. New songs, etc. Thanks for the listen and comments.

Cool song dtb. I like this kinda stuff so you can post more please.
I like the dbled sounding lead line a lot. The instruments sound good..........that is whenever you could hear them over the voice. :D You do have a feel for this sort of music and this isn't easy to write without getting trite. You succeed.
A few pitch issues in the vox and the vox is too loud (can't believe I'm saying that! ) ;)

I could tell...

...this was another dtb classic! Hell their all classic's. Great stuff dtb. Was that a phone ringing at the very end of this? If it were my tune I wouldn't change anything about it...okay maybe the phone:D maybe not. Also finished listening to "Where did you go" really liked that one a lot too. keepum comming brutha dtb!

Hey D,
Nice one man. Your voice really is perfect for this type of music. You have a gentle whiskey drinking quality to you voice that is really cool for this stuff. .....just bring the level down:D .....it sounds like you know that already. Nice instrumentation too.......

Nice stuff man,

Holy Crap dtb! That's the best song I've heard so far on the MP3 clinic! I love the guitar playing and the concept. It feels right at home with me. Makes me feel at home. I don't know if I liked the doubling on the chorus. I thought that part would be nice if you had some other people sing it with you. Like people in your family or something. I don't know, just a thought. Good song!

Thanks Lt., I feel like sometimes I jump the gun when writing. Like maybe a line or two could be better. But shit, it's just my hobby. Who gives a rip. I have more fun doing this than eating.

David, yeah forgot to mention it. I was working on this tune, and having the guitar and lead vocal tracked, I was trying some overdubs with the guitar, and mando, and the freaking phone would ring. Then I got to hearing the bitch ring even when it wasn't. Damn, gotta ease off on the herb. Anyway, I finally got to the last part I wanted and got all the way thru to the end and the damn phone rings. Fuck it. It's there now. he he he he he he
Thanks for the listen.

Hey G., pass the whisky. Thanks again man. 3 months ago you couldn't get me to sing a note, except some back up on our bluegrass stuff. I've been working alot on singing. If I could only remember to get the level down. he he he he he he

SS454, hey chevelle dude, what's up man. You are WAY too kind, and thanks a million. Step two. Yeah I've been working on that. All my pals are mic shy and headphone shy, or really not into my music, but I'm feeling it thru with some other folks. It makes me very happy to hear that my music makes you feel at home. Truely.

thanks folks, later

One question concerning your tunes. Are you going to be at the upcoming Jammy fest this year? I want to jam with you.:D :D :D
Please???????

hey Track, I'm there. Just like last year. My wife was sooooooooo glad when the day came to head north last year. I know she got some kinda tired of the whole planning and posting and e-mailing up until d-day (departure day). he he he he he But she got into it because she knows, after 29 years, how much my music means to me, and music in general, means to me. The first real "date" we went on was to my best friend in life and music, David's house for a little dinner and smoking. (We are talking about 29 years ago) Little did she know that before the night was over, David and I were chugging whisky, chasing it with beer, playing 20 minute blues tunz, and getting so into it, that she would be putting up with this stuff this long. he he he he Anyway, I have her to make sure we get to Conn. next year. She loved it as much as I did. And to get a chance to meet some more of you folks, whom she calls, "my internet buddies", and even pick a little with'em, well it's just another life experience. So. Let's get it on man.

Sorry for the rant.

Hey dtb, Just listened to your song again. I'm not trying to kiss your butt here, however, this is really the type of song I love to hear. The music style is great, but that's not even what really moves me. This is a clever, honest, and humble song. Similiar to the likes of an old american classic folk song.
If more people would write to give(observe, express), rather than to recieve praise, then we might find ourselves in the middle of a long awaited return of good american music. Thanks dtb.

do those guitars sound nice or what :)

You might wanna mute the intro where the noise resides. I also think your voice in this mix will benefit from a little delay/reverb to push it back just a bit where the guitars are.

Listening with headphones right now, so..I could be wrong, anyways, I like the earthy feeling of this tune

SS454, thanks a bunch for these comments. I kinda go thru a process when I write a song. It always starts with a line or phrase that just appears, usually when I'm playing my guitar. Then I'll play the part over and over until I'm happy with it. It may be right then, or months later, before more words and lines develope. The last 4 songs I posted were all written the last year or so. As you can hear, most are simple lyrics, with simple music, and a little production to offset this. Anyway I enjoy doing it. Hey, dude, I really thank you for the commenets.
