Any pilots in the joint tonight?
What THIS THING is good for. What does it do? What kind of amp can make out of it ? Any idea what's inside?
thanks a bunch
Well, apparently, as per the revised description, "These radios were used to signal aircraft when their own aircraft went down in the water. It was copied from the German WW II Not Sender Gerate. There should be a kite with it as well as baloons and hydrogen generators."
A 5 or 6-watt radio transmitter. You could go wireless, Mike. Only problem is it transmits on 500 kHz, an international distress frequency... but that might be appropriate considering the current state of popular music.
Also has a kite, balloons, a hand-crank generator, batteries and a long wire antenna. Sounds kind of a ham radio piñata sort of thang.
Ah! Cool, Tim! Thanks a ton for the pdf.
Now that is a fancy gadget.
Sooooooo... hmm, say I'd get this thing. Get it on the bench, start doing "my thing" with it ..heh heh, and somehow activate it. So, then, I suppose, I'll be rescued rather soon LOL
