Shitty Buddhist
My latest helping of guitar wanking.Very exotic this time(I think)!

I must say,MP3.com has gotten much better about approving
songs! This one only took 4 days!

Damn man, you blew the shade's off my head!! Sounded like a good recording to me. Damn that was fast...sorry I can't get over it:) What are you using to track everything..list please:D , I liked it alot but...damn that was fast.

Damn! Thanx David!!!
Heres the list:
Celeron 533
196 MB pc100 sdram
Ensoniq pci audio card
30GB 7200 rpm Maxtor HD
Abit BE6-2 mobo
Korg A6 guitar processor(sorely needs replacing)
Alesis HR16 Drum machine(12 yrs. and still goin'strong)
Bastardized Fender Stratocaster
Ibanez bass guitar(thru the Korg A6)
N-track,N-track,N-track(love it ,love it ,love it!!)
And the most important ingredient;Beer,Beer,Beer!!!!

Seriously though,I'm flattered that you liked the sound. If I could
get the fidelity you got on that Southern Rock opus of yours,I would really be in buisiness!

Fast indeed. Raises my pulse rate listening to it.
Really dig the opening rhythm. Interesting guitar playing.

I thought the guitars could be better defined. They sound a little muddy. The rhythms could be panned way more. A bit of EQ on the rhythms should provide some seperation for the rest of the instruments, and open it up a bit. Is there a bass guitar on this? Good drummer machine! :)

Other than that, cool!

Most bands tend to play their studio stuff faster live - I'd like to hear this live!

I thought the recording and mixing were great. That's a big sound! Pity the drummer who reproduces that live.

Loved the Eastern scales - evokes images of the desert and camels - but boy was that camel moving fast!

Great job man!

Thanx for listening guys!
Emeric:I agree, the guitars could use some more imaginative treatment.I think it could
use a new mix in general!Yes,there is a bass guitar, but it's playing the same part as
the rythm guitar, and the level and eq are obviously not right if you had to ask if it's
there at all.Thanx for the input!
psmith66:Glad you liked it man.I wish I had a band to play it out with!I'ts been a long
time.By the way, that camel has a major crack problem!

Hi beezlebub...

I listened ... and well . it is very repetitive.. you can tell the guitars are synths .. isnt the purpose of these kind of tracks to make them sound as real as you can? ==not dissing, intrested

once it get through all the beginning stuff and gets into the heart of the song i was able to get into it a little better .. then again it went over and over .... maybe try and put some different guitar sounds in ..

the drums are awesome ...... that part I loved

giutars need work though .. good luck ... Lana

Thanx for listening Ianac
Interestingly, the only instrument that is "synth"IS the drums.I don't know which guitars
you thought sounded like synth,I suspect you refering to the lead guitar harmonies.
Those were actally just doubletracked in different keys.
I can appreciate your point about repetition! It's difficult in an instrumental without
a verse-chorus-bridge to break things up.I goota mix it up better!
As for the purpose of these tracks, the only real purpose of the tracks is to amuse
myself while forcing as many beers down my gullet as I can!
I agree that the guitars need work in almost every aspect, especialy the sound!
Thanx for the frank feedback, you've given me some good points to think about!

Interestingly, the only instrument that is "synth"IS the drums.

Good! We won't have to worry that some poor bastard is working on his first heart attack!
That smoked Beeze. I kept wanting to put on a seatbelt!

Thanx getuhgrip!Actually,at my drum machines age a heart
attack is a distinct possibility.

Cool tune, B!!

I really liked the break part from 2:43 to 3:53... it sounded very Egyptian.

Fast?

Heh... I could mow, trim, and edge my entire lawn to this song and probably finish before it's over.

You should think about listing a package of No Doz and a pot of coffee as the inspiration for this jam. :D

Not Bad

Not bad, but can you headbang while you play it....

SirRiff

Thanx for listening Buck62 and SirRiff!
Buck,is the song too long,or is your lawn very small?
SirRiff:I could, but It's kinda pointless since I cut off all my hair.Headbanging would just
make me tired. It sucks getting older!

haha, fast indeed, good job, you might need to consider looking into renting a 'cyber drummer' though. I think they have them on musicians friend, just put em behind the kit and press the on button... long hair and authentic headbanging action come at no extra charge;)
