Most mixers claim to supply 48V of Phantom power. How common is it for the reading to be below 48V? How low is too low and in what way will it affect the sound?
I am asking because I took my mix console to a tech (for an unrelated problem) and he just happened to bring up when checking some things that it was only showing 32V (I believe) on the Phantom Power.
He didn't present it as a problem but I was curious how common/often this is the case? This is a Soundtracs Solo console, not a cheapier Behringer or anything.
