phantom power for dynamic mic..?

I'm going to track some drums, and use my yamaha mg 12/4 mixer for pre's for some of the mics, but when i use condensers for overheads and dynamics for close mic'ing, is it safe to turn on the phantom on the mixer..?

As long as the mics are wired correctly it won't hurt a thing.
