It's all in the details!

I just the guitar and amp right now. I would like to be able to put down some lush drumming ie. Mitch Mitchell, Van Halen, Zep. Somthing more than boom boom bop. I would need bass lines. I want it to sound full like a band not to polished, but warm and lush.

i saw a guy in a little basement bar in athens georgia doing a one man band thing. it was pretty cool. he had some kind of loop station pedal board thing. it was in a big wood box facing him so i could'nt see what it was exactly. i watched him to try to figure out what he was doing. he would click a foot switch, play something, and click a foot switch again. he started with a few bars of hand percussion. then a bass line. then a guitar riff. after all that was looping he improvised vocals and lead guitar over it.

my room mate at that time said that the device must have been a loop station or a boomerang.

i saw the movie "last days" not long after that. there's a scene in which the guy that's playing cobain's part is using a delay pedal to do the loop thing just like i saw the guy doing in the bar.

if you're interested in this kind of thing, lookup "loop station", "boomerang", "line6 delay".

another way would be to use a computer to record loops on the fly or to play backing tracks while you play along.

I want to sidestep the problems of a band right now, you know, people don't show for practice cause thier sick, musical differences.
