Change of POETS

Wassup ya'll. I been lurking in this forum for awhile. I've listened to some of Kevlar's stuff. I've read alot of Abyss's lines... just wanted to get some feedback on my stuff from all of ya'll.

Check out "Five Mile Queen" "Life Az I know It" or "Family Letter" or any others you want... those are my 3 favorite solo tracks. Appreciate any feedback you might have.

Thanks ya'll.

peeped it

ok,
family letter- this joint is a nice song, the beat can be composed a lot better to compliment the lyrics. i don't know if you are doing your own beats or not, buy i know stray can hook this up for you. the piano is ill in this beat at 00:00 and 4:20. there rimshot sounds kind of too spacious for this track, you can cut some highend off of it. if the rimshot is reverbed, cut back on the reverb. the combination in the beat that comes in at 00:26 can be done with a different sound, or it can be kept out.

PoeTiK SkriPTureZ - Outro- this is nice, the melody in this is good, i like the brass in here. the jungle sample in the background adds a good atmosphere. the bounce delay at the end is real good.

death is knocking- this joint comes on creepy as hell, really nice. the organ melody can be louder in this cut, and also i think it should be played more throughout the verses, the same goes for the gothic bell. i think a nice melody played throughout this track will bring it out more. the reverse words in here was good. the laughing during the outro is good.

overall- you have nice lyrics and focus. you have a good grasp of using effects as affect. i think stronger production would compliment you more.

Good looks homie. I make beats, but none of those are mine. So, while I appreciate the crit on the beats, it's out of my hands.

I agree, I could definitely use stronger production. I'm open to anything you wanna throw my way :D

U got ur flow sorted and some o' ya' lines r very ill. Like 5-Mile Queen and Family Letter, nice slow story-tellaz.

"Suicidal Optionz - Unfinished track.... Verse by Change"

Finish this track off - I can see good potential for it. Make sure the chorus is on point and u got a banga.

Yo,

I'm mos def feelin u on these tracks..I feel your pain on
"life as i know it" thats some deep shit kid. that "family letter"
joint is hot too. The "5 mile queen" one is strait but i wasn't feelin it like those other two joints..i listened to a bunch on there and to be honest...u were def on point when you said
"those are my 3 favorite solo tracks" i'm wit ya on that one not that the others weren't good but just not my style that's all.
I feel that you def got some good stuff goin on here. So stick wit it kid and
stay on that track.

Peace Love Respect,

Ya boy Kevlar

Yo, thanks Abyss and Kev. Good looks from both of ya'll.

I'm in the process of setting up some shows, and promoting my album. I'm also getting started on a new album soon... with another emcee named Zion. Should be very rugged boom-bap Hip-Hop style...
