okie dokie.......i have a Peavey Classic 50 i have a Boss compressor,Ibanez tube screamer (the new one, looking to maybe replace it ,any thoughts in addition to my question will be appreciated)....DOD vibro thang ,Ibanez chorus, Boss DD5 delay, Boss noise suppressor,....in that order .My problem is i get noise when i use the compressor,i have fiddled with the noise supp an can't get it controlled so i live with it . Should i run it in front of the amp or in the loop like i have it now which is best an do i have the other effects in the optimal order . Any help would be much appreciated

p.s. i probably could do without them all the Classic 50 is an awesome amp ,but, Boss pedals aint cheap an i would like to utilize them if i can....... thanks again

Put the compressor between your guitar and preamp. This will help by compressing before hitting the distortion and other noisy effects.

Tex is right on. Those Boss stomp-box compressors are pretty severe even on the lowest settings. If you want to run compression after your preamp you'll have to go for higher quality unit. Actually I find no need for compression when using my TS-9. It adds enough of it's own for me. ;)
