Hello, I've seen the Peavey TMP-1 on EBay a few times and was wondering if anyone has used them. I was considering getting one for a DI for bass or mabe using it for snare or kick. I did a search on Google and on this forum and only got 2 hits. Any coments? Thanks, Don

Its a one channel version of the vmp-2, heavilly reccomended.

I´ve never tried any of those units, but, I read on Eletronic Musician that the TMP-1 is not as good as the VMP-2. You should be able to read the article on the internet I think...

Yes, I looked into the TMP-1, and read the same artical. Unfortunately, it is not one half of a VMP-2. Too bad.

Thanks for the replies. I thought that since the TMP-1 had a tube at the Input and a tube at the output it may be the real thing, possibly better than the Art, Bellari or Behringer stuff.

For some things it may be, but it looks a little noisy for any application requiring a lot of gain.

Can anyone please point me in the direction of any site where there any info about the Peavey VMP-2 ?
I can't even find it at Peavey's own site.

Thanks

I just tried the Peavey web site and couldn't find the VMP-2. I hope they didn't discontinue it. I think that unit has something to do with AMR whatever that is.
