Trailing Behind Again
I bought a Peavey Tracer back in 1988. It's a sweet playing guitar, but it has a locking tremolo system on it, and that's where the problem lies.
I had to put it in storage for about 6 years... and when I finally got home and was going to do some maintenance and get her playing again, I discovered that the pieces that lock down on the nut are gone. I can't lock her down to tune it.

Anyone know where I can get replacements? I really don't want to screw with any of the original setup because this guitar and I have one hell of a history together. I just want to be able to replace then locks. It's a Kahler locking tremolo (please no Floyd Rose vs Kahler debates here, I just need to know how to go about obtaining the replacement parts!!!).

Thanks!!!

Kind of hard to do right now. I am in the Philippines. I was going to go online here in a bit and see what they have. I don't know if I am going to be able to find my guitar though. It was made almost 20 years ago...

I went on the Peavey website and signed up for their forum there. I asked them about replacement parts for the locking nut. Hopefully I will have some answers soon!

Contact our Parts Dept. at 1-877-732-8391 Ext. #1386 with the serial number of your guitar and they should be able to tell you if we still have the parts available.

AJ from Peavey replied to my post on the Peavey forums!
Going to make that call on Monday!!!
