People, PLEASE READ what he posted. Both altiris and Creamyapples1, your replies didn't take into consideration what he said in his post. His notebook does not have a PCMCIA slot. It has an ExpressCard slot, which is a NEWER technology than PCMCIA and is slated to become the expansion slot standard, replacing PCMCIA. It is not pin-compatable with PCMCIA, and therefore requires entirely new hardware to be made for it.

Eddited - disregard, go flame someone else imo. ;)

Sorry...it just bothers me when people are in such a hurry to have the answer or to get their opinion out that they don't bother to accurately read the context.

He did not mention there was no PCMIA slot. I’ve seen laptops with both express and PCMIA. I assumed it had one since he did not indicate what model. One can only assume it has one since PCMIA is still standard. But still it already was mentioned that if the USB is the problem then an adaptor for that USB port will do no good and there is not much out there for the express slot.

^Mine was similar to that, some people are going to cry no matter what, resistance is futile.

@The original poster, I hope you get your issue resolved.
