alright, here goes my question...
im a dj (turntables) that records using minidiscs. i have a sony mzr-55 recorder/player. i can record without any problems on to the minidisc. but i cant seem to be able to record on to my computer from the minidisc. i connected the minidisc to the line in on my sound card (the stock one that came with my computer) and i use some program called gammut to record. but the sound seem to be skipping once its recorded on the computer. are there better programs out there or any good sound card suggestions? im trying to keep it inexpensive. thanks

mini disk

I think you need to ask someone like slackmaster2k or drstawl. I don't think it's a mini disc question but a pc one.

How fast is your computer? If it's too slow or doesn't have alot of ram, it may be hesitating while writing to a file.

Yeah, it would be good to know what the specs of your computer are, that would help to figure out where the prob might lie.

You could possibly try to record through your mic input if you have a stereo mic input, but make sure you set the levels otherwise there might be a big boom.

I had the same prob once, but it turned out the computers recources were depleted, meaning I was running too many applications at the same time so the processor could not cope, it ended up recording what it wanted.

Application that I use is Goldwave shareware, for shareware its brilliant. You can find it on http://www.download.com as a demo.
