Past/current users of dp-01

I'm way behind the curve with recording. I tend to always come back to tascam. Anyway, i got really comfortable with the eq knobs on my dp-01. I like how i can assign a frequency and play with it during playback. The settings are always there for me to see, without entering a menu. I think i'm scared to lose that (familiarity of eq). When you stepped up to another unit, how does the eq on individual tracks work? 3 band? assigned frequency? Eq in the menu? I may be buying a recorder soon, because my dp-01 is filled up and only one input works. I just love the thing, and am considering getting another dp-01 because of it's simplicity. Anyway, if you can describe how the eq function on individual tracks works on the newer recorders, i'd appreciate it.

I still have my old DP1 but honestly when i got the 2488/2 I was much happier with all the additional functions. Getting used to the menu may take a bit but it's worth it.

Yeah, i've read alot of replies about that recorder; it's hard to miss So how does the eq work on individual tracks? Can you assign frequencies? 2 band?
