I'm fairly new to the wonderous word of recording and I currently own Cakewalk Pro Audio 9, but I would eventually like to upgrade to a more professional system with more capabilities. My friend's dad just got PARIS by Ensoniq, and from the little bit I've seen of it the sound quality is really good, but it doesn't seem very user friendly. I am pretty good with Cakewalk and am familiar with the editing features it has. I have messed around with PARIS a bit, but it lacks some of the editing tools that I am used to and it's hard to get it to do what I want it to. I have heard that they are coming out with a new PARIS system and completely redoing it, adding MIDI, and (hopefully) making it more user friendly
Does anyone know anything about this new system and what improvements they've made?
I checked out the SEK'D site which was recommended on another message board and from what I can tell they have some nice professional systems with very good editing features, but I don't know how they sound.
I'd appreciate any information on how these two compare and which one would be the best buy, or just any other higher end software that would be worth checking out.
Here is the SEK'D site if anyone wants to check it out. http://www.sekd.com/
