ok here is my problem
I have connected via jacks to my firewire interface a pair of alesis monitors.
I haves my vst output connections in cubase le set to stereo outs 1 and 2 of my interface.
when i pan a track hard right for instance it indicates by the level meter that audio is only being sent to the right. although i have done this i still get sound in my left monitor (and vice versa if i pan left)
the sound does seem to change but im not sure if its in volume or if its just panning half way, its pretty weird and I haven't got the best ear for hearing differences in sound.
I have also tried panning the main stereo bus and it still does the same.
Another question i have unrelated to this one is, does the Bit depth in audio mixdown have to match that of the record format? im recording in 24bit but i have only noticed that the bit depth in my mixdown section was set to 32bit.
hope someone can help me out here
cheers
