Hi

If I record a perfomance (whether audio or midi), I am only able to pan the ENTIRE performance to a desired place in the mix.

How do I pan each individual note of a track's performance in PT7 (for both audio and midi performances)?

Thanks

b.

Really accurate automation perhaps?

That's how I'd do it. A LOT of work though, but I can't think of any way around it, unless you split up the files, put them on a whole bunch of tracks, one for each pan position you'd need, and do it that way. Still a lot of work.

I have a feeling that you are thinking about certain stereo reverb algorithms that used to autopan based on the amplitude of the incoming signal. Sort of a 'ponging' effect.

For your midi tracks, you can juast dissolve the midi parts by notes so you'll have a nuch of tracks and you can pan each track differently....
