I've been going through a bunch of stuff I did in the 90's and found this one. The guy (Danny Aarhus) that played guitar on it died and was a good friend. Aside from guitar, it's all keys except some percussion and my buddy Mike Lewis played trumpet. The elephant sounds near the end are him playing trumpet, which was later pitch shifted. :)

This brings back memories. It sounds like the music they would play on the intro of a Science VHS in school. Hahaha I can see it now. Fake looking 3d objects flying across the screen, yellow embossed text, little video clips of guys using a magnifying glass. This was fun to listen to.

That's a pretty cool song. Almost sounds like it intended to be a song from the 80's

Thanks dodgeaspen, it was done around '94, so the 80's weren't that far behind.

Also, I used a Sequential Circuits Six-Trak for bass so that adds to the 80's sound, I still have the unit but normally use my Roland SC-8850 module because that's what I use live. The Six-Trak is/was a very cool unit, it's what I started sequencing on. It's very fat. In 1983 I think it was the first multi-timbral synth - you could record 16 channels on it.

I don't know if I'd really even consider this a song, it was more of an experiment. I just started with a bass part and started adding tracks and this is what I came up with... in a way it's not really a song.
