Hi!

I have connected one Panasonic WM-61a capsule with a shielded 2 pole wire onto an amplifier circuit board.

When I listen to some recordings in Audacity there is a very high pitch background noise (see attached file)
Does anyone know where this might come from?
I'm a beginner, so I guess it could be one of many reasons. Some ideas and probable solutions that I thought of are:

- doing the Linkwitz mod on the microphone
- bad soldering somewhere
- shielding on wire not good enough (I connected it to ground at both ends)
- lowering the amplification

Do you guys have any idea what can cause this and what could be the best solution?

Thank you!

It sounds like you haven't grounded the capsule - although I'm confused - how are you connecting the capsule and to what kind of Amp circuit is it?

It is possible to record with the microphone but the file I attached is just noise when being quite.
Right now it is connected as the pictures attached and I also attached an image of the amplifier where I connect the microphone (not the microphone in the image).

Thank you for your help! Do you think I didn't ground it properly?
