Greg it's P. Wellman- let me tell you again I'm very sorry if you were offended by my sense of humour- I would never offend anyone on purpose- thanks for listening and the nice comments- now on to your song- I enjoyed your rendition of this classic- I really liked your ballsy guitar tone- when that first power chord kicked in after the main riff- I knew the song was going to be good, and I wasn't dissapponted. A couple of the guitar harmonies were a little dissonant in a good way- very cool version.

hey thank you very much. im glad you liked it. :)

and thanks to everyone for all the compliments. i really had no idea id get this much positive feedback. stuff like this really inspires me to keep trying to improve my playing and my recording. :)

An interesting take. What's the effect on the lead line?
A Kiwi band did a version back in about 84 that was excellent if a little quirky - they used time changes & a tick tocking intro.
Covers need to be either a development or an hommage. You've actually blended the two.

thanks. :) thats all i do basically is covers. i figure i cant write anything as good as the music i like to listen to, so i just redo them in a way that represents how i would do it if i had written it myself. still, i try very hard to keep it true to the original as far as the arrangement and melody goes. who am i to go butchering someone elses stuff? i typically just try to pep em up a bit with faster tempos and louder guitars - when applicable.

um the lead line......well, i ran that one direct through my digitech rp300a. it was played with an SG through 'pdldrv 35A' on the digitech. going through the menu of that effect channel i see thats its just a basic simulated marshall stack sound through a 4x12 cab with some flange and reverb. i didnt even tweak it. i liked the sound, so i recorded it with its default settings and left it totally dry in the mix just as it came through the digitech.

Good choice for a cover and well done . Instant FLASHBACK-back-back-back.....

Nice man, this is an all around good cover. The vox sound great, the guitar tones are cool. I dig the different take on this

thanks a lot. :)

Nice job Greg. I always thought this would be a good song to cover and had my own ideas about how to do it. Not sure if I would sound good doing it though. You do. I like the harmonizing guitars and the vox were pretty darn good too. Enjoyed it.

Rats - can't get the web page (standard error) and can't download either. Greg - have you taken this down or is it just a server problem?

Can't believe I didn't comment on this earlier....I listened once, but never got back....I'm sure I was drunk.... :p

Interesting beginning....gives it a cool feel. Sort of modern, but still maintains teh original vibe. Vocals are cool....you don't sing like Jagger, and don't try. You did it good by making it yours. This is a tune I'd like to do, but I am way far from Jager.... :D

Guitars have a cool sound, and drums are nicely done. This is a cool cover...modern vibe, but not too far from the original....

I like it. Nicely done man....

thanks a lot. i tried to 'rock it up' some without killing the overall feel of the original. it was a lot of fun to do.

thanks again! :)
